GY-68 BMP 180 Digital Barometric Air Pressure Sensor For Arduino
This board is a barometric pressure sensor that is based on BMP180. It is a new Bosch Sensortec digital barometric pressure sensor that can be applied in advanced mobile devices, such as smartphones, tablet PCs and sports devices.
BMP085 brings many improvements, like the smaller size, the expansion of digital interfaces and the ultra-low power consumption decreases to 3 μA. BMP180 is the leader in power saving for mobile devices. It is also distinguished by its very stable behavior (performance) with regard to the independence of the supply voltage.
The standard pressure at sea level is 101,325 Pa.
The pressure decreases with height, so you can use this to determine the altitude. Temperature and humidity also affect the pressure.
Therefore, you can use this sensor to measure changes in pressure and predict the weather.
Generally, increasing pressure indicates stable and often sunny weather and decreasing pressure indicates chances for rain and cloudy weather.
This sensor provides the weather, industrial, rocketry, balloon, and many other pressure sensing applications. The sensor is designed for use as a micro-altimeter, so it has an incredible resolution. By moving it up and down the changes in output values can be changed.
